This is the first quarterly revenue report, for over a year I made monthly revenue reports, but they take quite a bit of time, so switched to quarterly.

This make money online revenue report does not include earnings through my SEO business, AdSense themes sold at SEO/AdSense Themes or any investments, so ONLY affiliate and advertising (AdSense type programs) revenue.

Prior to around April 2008 I’d taken over a year off making money online beyond my SEO business for medical reasons, so my online revenue really dropped off.

Making Money Online Costs

My costs are very low since my only costs are a dedicated server and domain registration fees. so I never pay for traffic from places like AdWords or Overture etc… all my traffic is organic, most from search engines. I’ve recently upgraded dedicated servers twice when one of my sites increased traffic significantly: on election day the site saw over 100,000 visitors and despite upgrading servers it still pretty much crashed the server! Good news is the site had a couple of almost $400 AdSense days (over $3,000 from AdSense this month), bad news is after the election the traffic died within days

For the above periods my average monthly dedicated server costs was around $120 a month, domain fees for about 100 domains at about $10 each per annum, so total annual costs are under $2,500. As of May 2010 the dedicated server cost is $300 a month, so if I keep the current dedicated server my costs will rise to over $4,000 a year (still not a lot considering I’ll probably make over $60K this year from websites).
